  • The Opportunity

    We are looking for an QA Engineer who will take responsibility for the delivery of our SAAS mobile applications aimed at a vast number of diverse iOS and Android devices. Your primary focus will be quality control of these apps and integration with back-end services.  


    You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential. 


    This role is for you if you are highly motivated, self-driven, have a passion for all things mobile and their future, get a kick out of creating well thought out testing strategies and delivering high quality technology solutions which delight customers.



    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    Technical Stack:  

    • Java, UNIX/Linux scripting, Web Services test frameworks, XML, JSON and SQL   


    Skills and experience you will bring: 

    • 4+ years’ experience testing online services / Internet-based systems 
    • Good working knowledge of Database technologies and SQL 
    • Knowledge and experience in Mobile Testing 
    • Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues 
    • Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design, planning and execution. 
    • Experience with Agile development methodology 
    • Ability to work with a remote team 
    • Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person with other teams 
    • Ability to help launch new projects and follow through to completion 
    • Attention to detail very important 


    Here’s just some of what you will be doing: 

    • Developing testing strategy and test cases as part of a product development team 
    • Manual testing of new mobile functionality and regression of existing functions 
    • Developing manual tests for new and existing features 
    • Log and take ownership of defects found 
    • Participating in Scrum rituals: Sprint review, retrospectives, sprint planning and daily scrums 
    • Ensuring that an initial set of acceptance criteria are detailed for each user story 
    • Reviewing and refining user stories with scrum team 
    • Creating and reviewing test plans and test cases to ensure test case coverage is sufficient 
    • Engaging with the Business Analyst and Product Owner to clarify business requirements of the developed functionality 
    • Developing testing strategy as part of a product development team 
    • Testing of new client implementations and modifications to existing client configurations 
    • Participate in release regression 
    • Maintain existing and create new Test Cases in test repository 
    • Perform compatibility testing with various mobile handsets to ensure that functionality working as expected. 


    Education and Qualifications

    • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Alternatively, equivalent work experience
    • ISTQB Certification is advantage
