  • The Opportunity

    You will play a key role in extending the capabilities of our WorkHuman Cloud SaaS product, being used by over 4 million employees, and over 300 well-known customers worldwide. Working within an agile team, releasing often, and delivering high quality platform, you will be working in the Platform team being responsible for the delivery of a business transforming platform enhancements to our product development teams.  Learn more about our products here.

    We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Lead who wants to bring their skills to bear and help a successful team become even better.  This role is for you if you have a passion for Software development and experience in Leading a team of enthusiastic professionals to successful delivery of software solutions to customers.

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    The skills you will bring:

    • Strong understanding of technical strategy and business needs, and ensure this is shared with the team on an ongoing basis
    • As a core member of the Agile Community of Practice, be an agile champion, sharing new ideas and perspectives from learning and external sources, valuing respect, collaboration, continuous improvement and learning cycles, pride in ownership, focus on delivering value, flow and the ability to adapt to change
    • 8+ years working on enterprise scale software development using Java, Spring IoC, Servlet containers and relational databases.
    • Experience in excellent communication practices within the team, based on trust, transparency and honesty
    • Experience in motivation and development of the team to ensure the teams are improving, both individually and collectively
    • Experience in building the succession planning on the team
    • Talent search ideas and participate in the Recruitment process to ensure roles are filled efficiently with the right people
    • Familiar with the concepts and challenges of topics such as continuous deployment, blue/green deployments and building cloud native apps.
    • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information technology or equivalent work experience

    • Maximise delivery to the business by creating a team environment where team members are empowered to succeed
    • You will be central to laying the foundations to the path ahead, working with the Product Owner to understand technical strategy, identify potential delivery approaches and reduce uncertainty.
    • Work closely with Product Owner and Technical Lead, ensuring high level designs (where required) and user stories are ready at the start of each sprint
    • Seek out opportunities to grow the skills and experience team members, using a coaching style of 1-1s to support their development
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies, leading where appropriate, ensuring meetings are focused, productive and fun and that the process adds value
    • Help to remove blockers to success, troubleshooting and mediating to find solutions where required
    • Ensure the achievements of the team are understood by recognizing them and promoting them within the business
    • Provide planning support and recommendations to Product Owner and Strategist
    • Working on a spring upgrade – ensure migration and compatibility issues are addressed.
    • Working with our DevOps, Cloud infrastructure and Architecture teams to rollout microservices development capabilities for all teams.
    • You will be key to coordinating across product development teams with the goal of speedy, efficient delivery and adoption of Platform enhancements.
